1. ED BLOOM (FC Team A) - “pulled off stunning saves in crucial moments” against Hendon

2. CAMERON MOST (London Maccabi Lions B) - “really good to have him back from uni this week. Solid and commanded his defence”

Goals from Nick Haringman and Oli Nathan helped Norstar C finally put some points on the board with a backs to wall, gutsy performance at L'Equipe.

Republic shock Stars

Stuart Delmonte heaped praise on his Republic of Flixton heroes after they secured a stunning 3-2 victory over Sierra Stars in the Manchester FA Sunday Amateur Cup.

Trailing by a single goal at the break against the Manchester Amateur Sunday League side, Republic hit back through Leor Sidle to take the game into extra-time.

Northern Football round-up: October 21

Manchester Maccabi 1st cruised into the second round of the Peter Morrison Trophy after crushing Oakhill Lions.

Maccabi, who won the competition in 2010, were rarely troubled by the MJSL side as they cruised to a 7-1 victory.

Martin Simons’ side will now take on FC Cosmos for a place in the Third Round.

We must keep our house in order

The season is now 6/7 weeks old and it is now time for me to write my first article. The large 12-team divisions ensure a full programme for everyone to enjoy the next seven months with all the thrills and spills that football throws up. I won’t comment on individual teams suffice to say that I have enjoyed my visits around so far and have seen 12 of our members in action.

South Manchester Sports Club 1st survived an almighty scare to claim their third consecutive league win of the season.

Leading 3-0 at the break, South allowed PWC to roar back to 3-3 before Adam Lavin’s last minute strike ensured victory.

FC Team stun the champions

FC TEAM A 3 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 0

FC Team A claimed their best-ever result in JC MSFL football after claiming a stunning 3-0 victory over defending champions Hendon at Meadow Park.

A double from Declan Selbo plus one from Richard Salmon saw them record a famous victory.

A hat-trick from DAVID James COHEN helped FC Team C condemn AC Mill Hill to their first defeat of the season with a stunning display.

For what can only be described as a perfect performance was proven by an absolute rampage at The Coliseum this morning.
