Lions Under 15 clinch WFL crown

London Maccabi Lions Under 15's became the first Jewish side ever to win the top division of the Watford Friendly League.

The team, which contains many of the participants for this summer's European Maccabi Games, lost the first two games of their first season in the top division, but then embarked on a remarkable run which saw them remain undefeated in 12 league games.

Emanuel takes charge at Montana

Montana Boca United have appointed Vivian Emanuel as their new manager for next season.

The club operated under chairman Raymond Harrod who along with Adam Osper, worked as caretaker-managers following the departure of Marc Ziedman. They finished sixth in Division One last season.

Emmanuel joins the club following a stint at Pinner JFC in Division Four.

Majestic Morris helps Lions lift the cup

A looping header from goal-poacher Mark Morris saw London Maccabi Lions win the Nathan Horwitz MMFL Division 2 Cup following a hard fought 1-0 win over EDRS Stonegrove.

A match of few chances at Barnet FC saw the deadlock broken just before the interval however when Morris was reached a cross from Stuart Coutts' to place a header into the top corner.

Faithfold pay the penalty as Manchester wins Morrison final

Faithfold were beaten on penalties at Oldham Athletic's Boundary Park as Manchester Maccabi lifted the Peter Morrison Trophy.

Defences dominated throughout with neither team able to break through in 120 minutes of open play.

Avram Grant leaves West Ham

Avram Grant has left West Ham following Sunday's 3-2 defeat at Wigan Athletic which sealed their relegation from the Premier Division.

The Hammers threw away a 2-0 lead to become the first team to go down from the top-flight this season.

"Avram Grant is no longer the manager of West Ham United," a statement said.
