London Lions' recent run of good form came to an abrupt end against Kings Langley as they were comprehensively beaten 4-0.

It was a performance littered with individual mistakes which ultimately proved costly. The only positive the team could take from the defeat was the fact they only conceded four.

Youth overcomes experience as Brady B progress

In what was billed as a clash between experience and youth, it was the young pretenders, Brady B, who came out on top against the Masters today.

Brady came firing straight out the blocks, with Kane Alexander slotting home after some delightful play from captain James Joseph.

Maccabi Masters review: October 16

The Maccabi Masters Rep Team's run in the Peter Morrison Trophy was short-lived as they were beaten 3-1 by Brady Maccabi B of Division Four of the JC MSFL.

Nick Collins scored for the Masters.

Dan Collins, the Masters joint-manager, told JC Sport: "Brady are a good young team and will do well.

"They didn't let us play our usual game and gave us no time on the ball.

Israel finish third in Euro qualifying group

Israel ended a disappointing Euro 2012 qualifying on a high with victory in Malta.

A goal in each half from Lior Refaelov and Rami Gershon saw Luis Fernandez finish third in Group F.

Refaelov opened the scoring after 11 minutes with a sweet half volley following good work from Taleb Twatha.

Blackston, whose side are eight points off leaders Haroldeans, is adamant the quality of the younger players in the league has had a huge impact on the entire competition.

The kids will do us proud, says Bentwood

Steve Bentwood is ready to unleash his kids on Crumpsall after revealing his golden oldies have all been ruled out of Sunday’s MJSL clash.

Sheldon Lee, Marc Magid and Mark Sheldon will also miss the game at Brooklands, while Kyle Bentwood has returned to London following a cameo appearance last weekend.
