Faithfold manager Zuriel Solomon has challenged his team to prove they are the best in the country when they take on Manchester Maccabi 1st.

Sunday's Peter Morrison Trophy, the Jewish equivalent of the FA Cup, pits together two former winners of the competition in a match that will be played at Oldham Athletic's Boundary Park.

Lions Reserves well beaten in cup final

London Lions Reserves were beaten by Hatfield Town in the Spartan Reserve League Cup final.

A 3-0 defeat dampened an excellent first season in the league left them without tangible reward for a season in which they've achieved so much.

South Manchester claim top five finish

South Manchester rounded off their Accountants League Premier season with their third win on the bounce to finish in the lofty position of fifth.

Missing a host of regulars, a number of players were forced to play out of position but this seemed to encourage quick passing football and within 20 minutes they were two goals to the good.

Glenthorne B name new management for next season

JC MSFL Glenthorne United B have announced a new management team that will take charge after Sunday’s Division Four potential title decider on Sunday.

Elliot Coulton, and his assistant Jimmy Law will be replaced by Sam Rosenthal and Craig Sandford.

Grant: Blame me if we go down

Avram Grant has admitted that he will take full responsibility if West Ham are relegated from the Premier Division.

The Israeli manager saw his team's hopes take another blow in the 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Grant said: "The team's position is my responsibility. All the things that happen in the club are down to me.

Luzon: We have no favourite

Israel FA chairman Avi Luzon has declined to throw his public support behind Fifa chief Sepp Blatter.

Seeking a fourth term as president of football's world governing body, Blatter is being challenged by president of the Asian Football Confederation Mohammed Bin Hammam of Qatar. Israel's FA is one of 208 member associations who will choose between Blatter and Bin Hammam on June 1.

Kayal out for the season

Celtic's SPL title hopes have been hit after Biram Kayal was ruled out for the season.

The Israeli international has been one of the top performers for Neil Lennon's troops since joining last summer.

Kayal, 23, suffered a fractured wrist in Wednesday night's shock 3-2 defeat against Inverness. He was stretchered off late in the game.
