Gold was asked to relinquish the post by club chairman David Pollock after the 7-0 defeat against London Colney in the Dudley Latham Memorial Premier Division Cup.

Two goals from Michael Kenley helped Brady moved on to six points after edging a five-goal thriller at Rowley Lane.

Although the young Brady team were not at their best, they edged home thanks to a late penalty in a game where Sam Monjack was their other scorer.
