South Manchester stormed back from two down to take a point in a six-goal thriller against Mace.

South, who had earlier trailed 2-0 and 3-1, might have even won the game late on had the referee awarded what looked like a stonewall penalty following a foul on Harvey Kaye.

The opening 15 minutes were very evenly matched with neither side posing any great threat.

The deadlock was broken on 19 minutes, when Calev Ben-Dor was quickest to despatch a low cross to drill the ball into the back of the net.

The impending storm in Uxbridge served only to whet the fans' appetite prior to familiar foes SPEC and Raiders kicking off in what was already being dubbed as an early season “six-pointer”.

Hendon boss David Garbacz says he is pleased with a point as last season's champions were pushed all the way by early pace-setters Faithfold A at the Hive.

The top-of-the-table battle finished honours even at the Hive as Faithfold made it 10 points out of a possible 12 in a hard-earned draw.

Tottenham Chutspah recorded another handsome victory as they beat fellow new boys Loughton Orient, despite the best efforts of keeper Marc Jacobs.

Loughton Orient came into this game short of five first teamers and faced a further setback when tricky winger James Lester was ruled out at the last minute.
