The Chelsea midfielder was unable to play in the match due to an agreement between the teams after he was loaned to the Gunners during the transfer window.

Lions welcomed back Guy Morris and Josh Kennet to the starting line-up with manager Tony Gold reverting to a 4-3-1-2 formation.

Both teams had a player sent off in a fiery affair at Rowley Lane. The controversial moment came when FC Team keeper David Grossman was laid out injured on the floor following a collision.
