Ready to go that extra mile

As many of you will know, rarely has a day gone by that I didn’t mention an injury, niggle or pain since completing the 2001 London Marathon.

Well I can confirm that three operations down the line, and with my latest sporting comeback complete, that will all stop following what I can only describe as an uplifting, no inspiring, meeting with Israel’s most famous Paralympian.

Leeds can challenge for title, says Ullman

Alex Ullmann has urged his Leeds Maccabi 2nd side to target the MJSL league title following their stunning cup triumph.

Ullmann’s team became the first from Leeds to win the Tony Cohen Memorial Cup since the Judeans triumphed in 1987.

And after watching goals from Dan Davidson and Colin Abrahams condemn Crumpsall to a 2-0 defeat at Salford FC, Ullmann is demanding another step up.

A last-ditch effort from Sam Meisel helped Brady Maccabi under-nine Red’s complete the league and cup double after winning the Watford Friendly League Spring Shield.

A dramatic 2-1 victory over Northwood helped the team end their first season in non-Jewish football on a high.
