2. GIDEON CHAIN (L’Equipe) - "another brilliant performance at right-back. Nothing got through him and he was up and down the wing for 90 minutes" against Raiders C

Super-sub Gross sends Blancos to Wingate

Super-sub Jeff Gross fired Los Blancos into their first Wingate final as they completed one of the comebacks of the day to set up a meeting with Division Two champions FC Team B on May 3.

Depleted Lions edged out by Winslow

WINSLOW UNITED 2 LONDON LIONS 1

A hugely depleted Lions team lost 2-1 to Winslow Utd at the weekend.

A corner and penalty were Lions undoing, in a game of few chances that had a typical end of season feel to it.

Jon Ellis fired a consolation goal for the Lions.

London Lions were unfortunate not to come away with something to show for their efforts following their second trip to the Gosling in three days.

A 90th minute free-kick 18-yards from goal was dispatched by Hatfield Town to steal all three points in a 2-1 win.

Stuart Delmonte insists AFC Flixton are on a revenge mission after they continued their march towards the quadruple after downing Harmen in the Peter Morrison Trophy.

Flixton booked their spot in next month’s final - the equivalent of the Jewish FA Cup - after cruising home 4-0 at Rowley Lane.

Maccabi Masters review: April 19

This year’s Nathan Horwitz MMFL Division 2 Cup final will not – as has been the tradition – feature EDRS Stonegrove, after they were defeated in a closely-fought semi-final against Maccabi London Lions.

A solitary strike from Michael Abraham was all that separated the teams.

If goals were in short supply in the Cup, however, the day’s League games certainly made up for them!
