Maccabi 2nd lift Shonn Trophy

SHONN TROPHY FINAL
LEEDS MACCABI 2nd 1 MACCABI MANCHESTER 2nd 1 AET (Maccabi won 3-2 on penalties)

League champions Maccabi 2nd completed the double after beating Leeds 2nds on penalties after the Shonn final went the distance at Salford City FC.

Hotshot Franks is going nowhere, warns Seligman

David Seligman has issued a hands-off warning to MJSL rivals after a second-half double from Jonathan Franks steered HPR into the final of the Harold Feldman Cup.

And after seeing Franks seal the semi-final at Frederick Road, Seligman immediately vowed to wreck Maccabi Manchester 2nds treble bid.

Cardiff-born Jacobson, who was named Shrewsbury Town Supporters’ Player of the Season on Tuesday, was part of the Shrews side whose fate was sealed following a nightmare run of form this year.

Sharpe upbeat as Wingate go down

Aron Sharpe says relegation “is not the end of the world” after Wingate & Finchley dropped out of the Ryman Premier Division.

Scott Shulton was among the scorers as Wingate beat Billericay Town 5-0 on the final day of the season but they went down on goal difference.

Having clinched the Jewish FA Cup last weekend, Hendon United Sports Club A return to Wingate & Finchley where they will look to clinch part two of a possible treble against long-time Premier Division leaders Norstar London Raiders A on Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the day, the MGBSFL Division One title will be settled, with Woodford Wanderers and North West Neasden battling it out for title.
