100th goal for George Goldberg

George Goldberg, 12, scored his 100th goal in 110 league and cup appearances for HMH Purple as HMH Purple beat HISHU 4-3 in the MGBPFL Under 13 Division One.

The win helped HMH maintain their 100 per cent. The Highgate club were always ahead and had the vast majority of possession. HMH’s scorers were Adam Ellis (2) and Aaron Benjamin.

RJC dominate AJY finals day

Redbridge Jewish Care dominated AJY finals day at Redbridge FC.

The East London club enjoyed a clean sweep of the three matches they were involved in with the Under 17 team starting proceedings with a 7-1 win over HMH to land the Woody’s Cup.

Jake Sander (2), Max Solomons, Jacob Kaye, Oliver Brooks, Kane Hopps and Greg Sinclair completed the rout. Josh Fox claimed HMH’s consolation.

The Under 14 Woody’s Cup saw RJC complete a cup double over the Highgate club.

Two goals from Lioz Ahitove plus one from Steven Field saw Kenton Maccabi inflict a second league defeat on table-topping Redbridge Jewish Care in the AJY League Under 17 Division.

Harrison Grant (3), Matthew Niman (2), Saul Green (2), Daniel Wright and Jimmy Castle were on target as second-placed RJC thumped Stonegrove Park 9-2 in the Under 14 Division. Adam Gold and Yoni Chitiyat struck consolations for Stonegrove.

Three goals from Zac Rose earned Division 12 leaders Alyth Belsize Yellow a 4-3 win over title rivals HMH Purple.

AJY Goals from Joshua Dreyfruss (2) and Zac Rose booked Alyth Belsize Under 12s a place in the final of the Woody’s Cup at Redbridge FC after they beat HIS Hendon United 3-2.

A hat-trick from Harrison Grant plus one apiece from Nathan Sollosi and Saul Green saw Redbridge Jewish Care become the first side to beat

Under 14 leaders HIS Hendon United.

Noah Lachs (2), Zac Collins (2) and Simon Fox saw HMH share the points in a 10-goal thriller against second-placed Kenton Maccabi.

Goals from Eddy Wax, Zac Gordon-Boyd and Ethan Ezra earned Alyth Belsize their fifth win of the campaign as they beat HMH 4-0 in the Under 14 Division.

Four goals from Josh Levy steered Hendon Hawks to a 10-3 win over HMH Blue in the Under 12 Division. Joel Baruch (3), Jacob Eli, Chaim Gilbert and Volvi Herskovic finished the job.

Avi Solomon, Shlomo Mirwis and Binny Feinmesser were on the mark as HIS Hendon United beat Brady Maccabi 3-1.

Goals from Liam Davis (2) and Daniel Wexler helped RJC Under 12 reached the third round of the Woody’s Cup after beating Alyth Belsize White 3-2 in extra time. Daniel Joseph and Nicky Copper struck for Alyth.

A brace from Daniel Levicki plus strikes from Max Solomons and Ollie Brooks helped Redbridge Jewish Care beat league leaders Kenton Maccabi in the Under 17 top-of-the-table clash. Steven Field (2) hit back for Kenton, whose lead has been whittled down to a point.

Hendon Hawks Under 14s won a thrilling Woody’s Cup second round tie 4-2 on penalties as they beat HMH. The teams were locked at 2-2 after extra time.

Jonah Gordon-Boyd scored the only goal of the game as Alyth Belsize White beat HMH Purple to move up to fourth in the Under 12 Division.

Red-hot Redbridge surprise Alyth

Redbridge Jewish Care became the first team to beat leaders Alyth Belsize Yellow this season with a thrilling 3-2 victory in the Under 12 Division.

Goals from Max Salador, Daniel Wexler and former Spurs trainee Joffey Bradley helped the East Londoners avenge an 8-1 defeat by Alyth earlier in the season.

In a fiery encounter played in chilly conditions, the game was only given the go ahead after a late pitch inspection. Redbridge began the brighter and could have gone ahead as early as the seventh minute when a Salador effort flew just wide.

Redbridge Jewish Care stunned unbeaten league leaders Alyth Belsize Yellow with a 3-2 victory in the AJY Under 12 Division at Fairlop’s Powerleague playing fields.

Goals from Max Salador, Daniel Wexler and former Spurs trainee Joffey Bradley helped the East Londoners avenge an 8-1 defeat by Alyth earlier in the season, they move up to fourth in the table with four games in hand on their respective rivals. Jack Morgan and Zack Rose hit back for Alyth, who suffered their first league defeat of the season.

Alyth Belsize Under 10s started 2009 in style by claiming a double-header victory over HIS Hendon United B. Midfielders Anton Baleanu (3) and Daniel Bernbaum (2) along with Ben Shemtov, Josh Levi, Benji Ross and Tom Sanders helped them record respective 4-1 and 5-1 wins.
Boaz Barnard was the hat-trick hero as Hendon Hawks Broncos overcame Stonegrove Park 3-0. Stonegrove exacted revenge in part two, winning 2-1.

Four-mality for Hendon

Four goals from Zack Lewis helped HIS Hendon United win their seventh consecutive match as they beat Kenton Maccabi 11-0 in the Under 14 Division.

Daniel Fattal, Adam Ingram, Eddy Wax and Noah Style were on the mark as Alyth Belsize overcame Hendon Hawks 4-1.

HMH opened a four-point lead at the top of the Under 12 Division after beating AC Whetstone 7-1. Zac Rose (4), Dean Cramer, Michael Goldbart and Joshua Dreyfuss struck for HMH. Sammy Huberman replied for Whetstone.

Stonegrove Park Under 14s maintained their title hopes with a 7-3 victory over HMH. Daniel Kuber (2), Adam Gold (2), Shaun Privett, Scott Greenfield and Yonni Chitiyat were their marksmen.

Double-chasing Alyth Belsize Yellow eased into the third round of the Under 12 Woody’s Cup after thumping Brady Maccabi 4-0. Michael Goldbart (3) and Eli Wegryzyn were their goal men. Gideon Lee popped up with the winner as HMH Blue overcame Brady Maccabi White in round two of the Woody’s Cup Under 10 competition.

Redbridge rule the roost

AJY Redbridge Jewish Care stole the show at the AJY football awards at JFS in Kenton, North West London.

The Essex club won three awards after winning the league and cup double with their Under 16 side and the Red Group championship which went to the Under 10 team.

Under 16 captain Marcus Starr said: “This is my third season with the club and it has definitely been my most successful. We are already looking forward to next year. We take our football very seriously and want to try and achieve even more next season.”

Pinner win at long last

Braces from Joel Benedyk and Joel Shaw steered Pinner to their first win of the season as they surprised title-chasing Alyth Belsize 5-0 in the Under 15 Division. Lewis Decker finished the job. HMH were crowned Under 12 Division champions after beating Redbridge Jewish Care in a double-header.

Zack Collins scored the only goal in match one. He added two more, along with strikes from Clark Norton and Noah Lachs in a 4-3 win in the second. Hendon Inter Schools White kept alive their Under 10 double hopes with a pair of victories over Hendon Hawks.
