Ric Blank says Oakwood are "not getting ahead of themselves" after they made a terrific start with a 2-0 victory at Faithfold.

Guy Helman opened the scoring and a penalty at the death from Carl Peters finished the job in a game where a stunning reflex save from Dan Cohen ensured a clean sheet.

David Gordon was impressed by his side's character in a match of three penalties in Mill Hill.

Two-goal hero Mitch Lassman opened the scoring from the spot after a cross from Matt Davis was handled by Catford defender.

Peter Morrison Trophy round 1 draw

The draw for the first round of the Maccabi GB Peter Morrison Trophy was made last night, with Division Two favourites FC Team B drawn at home to first division SPEC FC in one of the ties of the round. Two teams from the Manchester Jewish Soccer League have entered, along with two from the Maccabi Masters League.

MGBSFL Matchday 1 preview

The 39-team MGBSFL gets under way on Sunday, with 24 sides in action on Matchday One, with defending champions Hendon open their account at Rowley Lane – where they sealed the title last season, while newly-promoted Neasden and Woodford are also in action in the Premier. New boys London Rovers and Shacharit Donetsk make their bow in Division Three.
