Defending champions Hendon put in a five-star display to beat Redbridge Jewish Care in the match of the day as players from the JC MSFL returned to action following the winter break. There was also a good win for SPEC FC at Glenthorne, while Hendon C put in a determined effort to frustrate Oakwood B in Division Three. Danny Caro reflects on Matchday 17 of the season.

Faithfold are set to offer stalwarts Alex Levack and Daryl Phillips new long-term dealss. A Faithfold insider said: “We are not interested in one-year arrangements for players aged 30 and over like some other London clubs. Both Alex and Daryl are legends in their own right and we’re delighted to have them at this club.”


2013 is all about the Maccabiah

It's virtually impossible to follow a year like 2012 on the sporting front, but quite clearly, the main focus in Jewish terms will be the 19th Maccabiah Games in Israel.

A number of my ones to watch in 2013 will be lining up for what is expected to be a star-studded event, kicking-off at Jerusalem’s Teddy Stadium in July.

Raiders furious after league gives Lions green light

The Maccabi League has admitted it made a mistake by allowing London Maccabi Lions A to field a player it later deemed ineligible in the recent JC Cyril Anekstein Cup match against North London Raiders A.

The Lions were given permission to register Daniel Green four days before the tie earlier this month, rather than the stipulated 14 days for cup competitions.
