Purim not fair game, says Joel

Joel Minsky, manager of Los Blancos, believes that the decision to make his team play on Purim was unfair.

The Division Four promotion hopefuls claim to have issued a request to have the weekend off six weeks ago as they had 10 players unavailable. But they were given a match against North West Neasden C - and they lost 5-0.

London Lions were in seventh heaven following their best result of the season to date beating Bedford 7-0 at home.

A hat-trick from Sam Sloma and one apiece from Ben Ellis, Andy Glynne, Aron Barnes and Adam Myeroff made it five wins from their last five games.

Four-midable Redbridge crush Neasden

Two goals from Dean Nyman plus one apiece from Daran Bern and Mitch Lassman took Redbridge Jewish Care A six points clear at the top with a four-goal demolition of last season's champions at Fairlop.

Victory saw RJC complete a league double over Neasden to close in on the title and open a significant lead over second-placed Hendon who have a game in hand.

Resurgent Brady back from the dead

Brady rediscovered their winning formula as they came from 2-0 down with strikes from Steven Field, Lee Platt and Josh Hershman against Harmen.

Missing a few senior players including striker Mark Smith and defensive lynchpin Jason Sears, Brady were forced to have newly-engaged Nick Stern as their captain at the back, and started in the exact way manager Josh Rosenfeld did not want to see.
