Berg names 20-man Rep Team squad

Danny Berg, manager of the JC MSFL Rep Team, has named a 20-man squad ahead of next week’s London Inter-League Cup opener against the North London League.

The team were meant to open their account in November, but the original match, against the Turkish Federation League, was postponed due to snow.

Now Berg is lining up his team to play different opposition at Wingate & Finchley’s Abrahams Stadium on February 1.

The team will be captained by Faithfold stalwart Alex Levack.

Four-midable Brady set up Redbridge clash

Brady Maccabi booked a trip to Redbridge Jewish Care A in the quarter-finals of the JC Cyril Anekstein Cup after maintaining their domination over Division One rivals Camden Park with a 4-0 victory.

Manager, Josh Rosenfeld rested some of the big guns, as a cup game was a welcome distraction from the league. He also welcomed back season long absentee Oli Kenner to the squad, however after wheezing after 15 minutes of running the line it seems he may still be a few weeks away from fitness.

Faithfold are on red alert after Josh Rosenfeld, the Brady Maccabi manager, expressed his admiration of former player Josh Gordon. Rosenfeld said: “Having played with Josh for years growing up, I know the quality he has as a player and person would only benefit any side. I only have full admiration for Josh. Maybe if he came knocking on my door it would be something definitely worth considering.”

North West Neasden are set to step up their interest in Faithfold midfielder Alex Levack.

Faithfold are on red alert after Josh Rosenfeld, the Brady Maccabi manager, expressed his admiration of former player Josh Gordon.

Brady keeper Oli Colmans is threatening to walk away from the club if he is not given a goal bonus after his 100-yard strike against Montana.

Rovers on top as JLGB pays the penalty

Hyde Park Rovers won a scrappy game which came to life in the final 15 minutes thanks to braces from David Cohen and Oli Grant

Player-manager Philip Braham was pleased that his team were able to recover so quickly after falling behind to a strike from Rafi Bloom.

“It was a strong comeback from 1-0 down to start the year off on a good note. But it was a messy encounter, not helped by the terrible windy conditions.”
