Maccabi Masters review: November 11

League newcomers Southgate Harmen moved into a title contention with a 3-0 win over South Mancs, thanks to goals from Simon Gold, Johnny Mack and Paul Stein in Division One.

The top two in Division Two extended their lead, with Glenthorne B enjoying an emphatic 6-0 win over Hendon Harriers. Adam Hart (2), Greg Morris (2), Dave Michaels and Paul van Gelder were the marksmen.

Title hopefuls North London Raiders suffered their first defeat of the season as they went down 4-3 against new boys Waldaf Town.

Richard Davis (2), Mike Lax and Hezi Yechiel netted for Waldaf in the seven-goal thriller, with Richard Sacks, Ashley Davidson (pen) and Ben Novick accounting for the Raiders goals.

There was jubilation for both Maccabi Masters teams in the Peter Morrison Trophy competition, with both the Rep Team and London Maccabi Lions knocking JC MSFL opposition out in round one.

A hat-trick from the evergreen Ashley Davidson steered Dan Collins' Masters Rep Team to a 4-1 victory over third division Norstar C. Dean Schulberg finished the job.

Temple Fortune's stalwart striker Jeremy Fess marked his 500th appearance for the club with a goal in the thrilling 3-3 draw against Glenthorne.

Fess, who was also celebrating his 54th birthday, helped Fortune come from behind in an enthralling encounter.

Glenthorne United A joined North London Raiders at the top of the Maccabi Masters League Division One following a 4-2 success over new boys Waldaf Town.

The east Londoners were inspired by goals from Greg Morris (2), Jamie Chapman and Marc Silver. Andrew Morrow and Hezi Yechiel replied for Town.

A solitary goal from Jonny Mack gave Southgate Harmen a win over Scrabble.

Maccabi Masters review: September 16

September 18, 2012

Southgate Harmen made their first ever appearance in the Maccabi Masters Football League defeating South Mancs 2-0 in Division One with the Becker brothers, Lloyd and Russell, opening their accounts.

Also new to the league, Waldaf Town faced champions Brady Maccabi and were beaten 3-1 with goals from Nick Collins, Scott Ansher and Mark Wagman. Joel Davis replied for Town.
