A hat‐trick from player‐manager Richard Davis plus a goal from Marc Cutler gave Waldaf Town a 4‐1 win over South Mancs. Paul Franklin netting Mancs’ consolation.

Matchday three saw North London Raiders maintain their 100 per cent record in Division One with a 3-1 win over Southgate Harmen.

Maccabi Masters review: September 16

September 18, 2012

Southgate Harmen made their first ever appearance in the Maccabi Masters Football League defeating South Mancs 2-0 in Division One with the Becker brothers, Lloyd and Russell, opening their accounts.

Also new to the league, Waldaf Town faced champions Brady Maccabi and were beaten 3-1 with goals from Nick Collins, Scott Ansher and Mark Wagman. Joel Davis replied for Town.

Maccabi Masters round-up: September 9

Strikes from Hezi Yechiel, player-manager Richard Davis and an own goal helped new boys Waldaf Town kick off season 2012-13 of the Maccabi Masters League with a thrilling 3-2 win over Scrabble.

Scrabble benefitted from an own goal of their own, with Charlie Bernstein adding the other.

I was in Jerusalem on Maccabiah duty the day London was named as the 2012 Olympic host city and although there has been plenty of negative coverage in the build-up, from what I’ve seen so far, it looks set to be a roaring success. Even the sun is shining.

Lustigman: Masters League maturing nicely

Stuart Lustigman has described the Maccabi Masters as “an absolute success story” after confirming that a record number of teams would participate in season 2012/13.

The MMFL chairman this week welcomed three new teams that takes the league up to 17, with seven lining up in Division One and 10 in Division Two.

Super-sub Wise helps Lions Masters retain trophy

London Maccabi Lions snatched a dramatic late victory to retain the Nathan Horwitz Maccabi Masters Division 2 Cup following a thrilling final at Barnet’s Underhill Stadium.

Two stunning injury-time goals from super-sub Paul Wise broke the hearts of an EDRS team which had come so close to victory.

Glenthorne B crowned Masters Division Two champions

Glenthorne United B are the new champions of the Maccabi Masters Division Two after a 2-0 win over Brady Maccabi B that gives them an unassailable lead at the top of the table.

Gary Adams set Glenthorne on the road to victory before midfield dynamo Trevor Granger put the seal on the title with a header after Adam Hart’s free kick had hit the bar.
