The final of the inaugural MMFL-MGBSFL Invitation Trophy be contested between Norstar London Raiders B and Hendon United Sports B.

NLR emerged victorious from an enthralling semi-final against Brady Maccabi Masters, winning 5-3 thanks to goals from Nicky Woolf (2), Will Ufland, Gilad Kestenbaum and Robert Richman (pen), whilst Mark Wagman, Daniel Sugarman and Gavin Sherman replied for Brady.

Glenthorne A clinched the MMFL Division 2 title with a 3‐0 win over Hendon Harriers.

Strikes from Adam Lennard, Jason Levy and Paul van Gelder secured the championship, pipping London Maccabi Lions to the post.

Glenthorne A are odds-on to win the MMFL Division Two title after brushing away the challenge from leaders London Maccabi Lions 3-0.

Strikes from Sid Shaw, Jason Levy and Gary Adams earned the east Londoners a comfortable win that leaves them just one point adrift of Lions but with three games in hand – all against the bottom three teams.

North London Raiders boosted their double hopes after edging past Glenthorne United A thanks to a strike from Tony Plaskow.

The 1-0 victory means the final of the Henry Swerner Maccabi Masters League Cup will be a repeat of last season’s showpiece, earning them a place against London Maccabi Lions at Wingate Stadium on May 4.

Maccabi teams ready for new challenge

Organisers of the MGBSFL and Maccabi Masters League have set up an Invitational Competition in order to extend the season for eight teams.

The new tournament has been put together by David Wolff and Stuart Lustigman for sides that have either finished their season or have just a few matches remaining.
