Salford Blue Jays succumbed to a free-scoring West Didsbury in their second match of the season.

West Didsbury won the toss and, having chosen to bat, proceeded to pile on the runs as Salford toiled in the field. Whilst the Salford players' heads never went down, all the bowlers bore the brunt of an onslaught that ended at 290-6.


LMV collapse against West Harrow

LMVCC 2nd lost their Middlesex Sunday League opener against West Harrow after succumbing by 16 runs.

In what captain Nigel Rothband described as "a game of two halves," LMV lost the toss, but "surprisingly" found themselves in the field on a low, slow wicket and a very slow outfield.


Israel bow out in style

Israel finished the Pepsi ICC Europe Division 3 T20 Championships in style after handing Spain a seven-wicket defeat in La Manga.

Spain’s top order only contributed 13 runs before Crompton (19) and Ahmed (31) secured some stability in the innings.

Israel ready for Euro T20

Israel will face Belgium in their opening match at the Pepsi ICC Europe Division Three T20 Championships in La Manga, Spain.

Captained by Eshkol Solomon, Israel play the Belgians on April 30, with a match against Hellas later that day.

The new-look tournament, which also features Spain and Finland, sees the winner being promoted to Division Two which is to be held in Essex in June.

I was not alone. There was a nervous silence on the coach as the group made its way through the stark Polish countryside.


Klinger to miss Gloucester pre-season

Michael Klinger will miss Gloucestershire’s pre-season programme to avoid burnout.

Director of cricket John Bracewell said: "Michael will have a chance to freshen up with a holiday with his family on their way to England.

"That is going to be very important to him after so much virtually uninterrupted cricket."

Klinger is scheduled to captain Gloucester against Hampshire on April 13.


Kaye wins top honour at Chigwell & Hainault

Matt Murray has paid tribute to Stuart Kaye after the veteran bowler received a Lifetime Achievement award by Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue Cricket Club.

Club captain Murray presented the trophy as recognition of over 25 years of service as a stalwart player and long-time committee member.
