The first few days at the 19th Maccabiah Games have been something quite special.

Two days at pre-camp featured some incredible sights, as the majority of the 453-strong Team GB squad converged on Jerusalem.

Belmont cruise home

July 29, 2013

Belmont and Edgware Cricket Club claimed a fourth victory of the season following a 31-run win over Cross Keys.

Nick McLeod’s unbeaten 41 and captain Ryan Monk’s 37 ensured BECC recovered from 78-6 to post a score of 151 all out.

Mitchell Mayer then laid into the Cross Keys batsmen by taking 4-26, while Adam Jacobs claimed an impressive 3-7.

Team failed to build on their opening day win over Sputh Africa after suffering a disappointing seven-wicket defeat against India at Hadar Yosef.

With Benjamin Lederman - the hero of match one out injured, Saul Weitzman and Joe Williams came in, with Yoav Lebens sitting it out in the only other change.

LMV 1st lose CVL thriller

London Maccabi Vale 1st XI went down by 4 runs in a high-scoring Chess Valley League match against Abbots Langley 2nd XI at Rowley Lane.

A fantastic game of cricket, played on the hottest day of the year, was decided on the last ball of the day. After 90 overs had been bowled and almost 500 runs scored, Vale needed four off the last ball to claim a famous victory, but it wasn't to be.

Batting first the Sri Lankan Tel Aviv middle order, led by Menaka (51) helped rebuild the innings of Rangers had picked up two early wickets.
