Milch secures eighth victory after knockdown at York Hall

Tony Milch has set his sights on a shot for a title fight after maintaining his unbeaten professional record at York Hall.

Unbeaten light-middleweight Milch, 34, earned his eighth successive victory after a points win over Ali Wyatt on Saturday night.



Israel claim Davis Cup victory over Slovenia

Israel maintained their Europe/Africa Group 1 Davis Cup status after beating Slovenia.

Israel stormed into an unassailable 3-0 lead in Tel Aviv, with Dudi Sela and Amir Weintraub winning their respective Singles rubbers before Sela teamed up with Ben Patael to win the doubles.


Beitar owner to sell club after Europa League horror show

Beitar Jerusalem owner Eli Tabib insists he has no option but to sell the club following the disgraceful scenes which marred the club's Europea League match against Charleroi in Belgium.

Thursday night's tie was disrupted by unsavoury scenes as Beitar fans threw smokebombs on to the pitch, while home goalkeeper goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau was hurt by an object thrown from the crowd.


Davis top of the class

Eden Davis, 16, has become the first Jewish athlete for five years to win an individual medal at the English Schools Championships.

Davis, representing Hertfordshire, took the Intermediate 100m bronze in 10.79 in the race in Gateshead.

"I am delighted to have achieved my ambition for the season,” said Davis.


Erlich misses Davis Cup clash against Slovenia through injury

Israel are strong favourites to beat Slovenia in the Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group 1 in Tel Aviv starting today, despite the absence of Jonathan Erlich.

Erlich has undergone surgery after injuring a knee during the last point of his quarter-final victory at Wimbledon.
Having lost to Romania in March, Israel must beat Slovenia to avoid relegation.
