Ullmann proud of Leeds kids

Leeds Maccabi 3rd boss Alex Ullmann praised his young guns after they gave Hyde Park Rovers a real run for their money in their latest MJSL clash.

Trailing 4-0 in the second-half, Maccabi hit back to score three times in ten minutes and leave Rovers hanging on nervously.

Adam Kristall, Dan Davidson and Joseph Jackson were all on target as the visitors rallied to make it 4-3.

Waley-Cohen free for King George VI

Sam Waley-Cohen has escaped missing out on the King George VI Chase – despite being punished with a 12-day riding ban.

Waley-Cohen, who will ride Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run on Boxing Day, took the wrong turn at the Fakenham course while out on front on Otage De Brion.

Hyde Park boss David Domb has warned his players they must cut out their defensive errors following an almighty scare against Leeds Maccabi 3rd.

Domb’s men led 4-0 before ten minutes of madness allowed Maccabi to score three times and give themselves a shot at a second consecutive victory.

Leeds Maccabi 2nd boss Simon Fisher slammed his side’s ‘schoolboy defending’ after his team crashed to a ninth consecutive league defeat.

Dan Goldstone’s volley had given Maccabi a 25th minute lead, but a whole host of errors allowed Real Porto to run riot after the break.

On a perfect morning for a game of football, SPEC FC made sure there was no upset and finally showed their capability in front of goal.

Having only managed more than three goals once in a game this season, the extra finishing practice in training this week showed as SPEC put seven past bottom side Boca Jewniors.
