The quarter-finals of the JC League Cup take centre stage on Sunday, with six teams looking to join Brixton Old Boys A in the hat for the last four. There is also some mouth-watering action to look forward to in the league. Danny Caro looks ahead to all the action.


Maccabi Masters cup draws

Celtic's Kayal out for the season

Celtic star Beram Kayal has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his ankle.

The Israel international was forced to leave the field on a stretcher during Celtic’s 1-0 win over Rangers on December 28 following a challenge with Lee McCulloch.

Kayal, who signed a new five-year deal with Celtic in October, will now hope to return to action in pre-season.

WINNER: Andy Burke (L'Equipe) - GOAL 2 - was Bergkamp-esque; a cross came in from the right, his first touch was to chest the ball round one defender, second touch round another before volleying into the roof of the net. Pure class!

Yarlett praises Cash as Neasden go top

Darren Yarlett, the Neasden joint-manager, praised the heroics of Lee Cash after the striker fired a hat-trick to put the team top of the table in a game they trailed 2-0 after just seven minutes.

FC Team raced out of the blocks at Hadley FC, but co-boss Cash had other ideas in an enthralling eight-goal contest.

Dave Woolman’s four-goal blast fired Leeds Maccabi 1st into the second round of the Sunday Alliance League Cup.

The in-form striker needed less than 45 minutes to destroy First Division side Rodley Barge as the visitors sunk to a humiliating defeat.
