Israel will take it one step at a time, says Zinger

Having served as Secretary General of the Olympic Committee of Israel (OCI) since 1995, Efraim Zinger will be leading Israel’s delegation to his fifth Games.

“I still get thrilled about the Olympics,” he told the JC. “If I didn’t get excited it would be time to step down.”


Lustigman: Masters League maturing nicely

Stuart Lustigman has described the Maccabi Masters as “an absolute success story” after confirming that a record number of teams would participate in season 2012/13.

The MMFL chairman this week welcomed three new teams that takes the league up to 17, with seven lining up in Division One and 10 in Division Two.

Team GB announce Tennis management team for 19th Maccabiah Games

Mark Simons has been appointed Chairman of Team GB Tennis for next year's 19th Maccabiah Games in Israel.

Simons will be assisted by vice-chair Jan Feldman, while technical support and coaching advice will come from Ronnie Maxwell (LTA High Performance Coach), who will also serve as the GB Junior tennis team coach and team manager.

New-look Boca thrash joint Norstar team

Boca Jewniors have been hard at work since the close of last season, with a pre-season season already underway in early June.

The club have strengthened massively and obtained many quality players. They have shown intent by winning their first competitive friendly against Division Four rivals and new boys Norstar C, with help from their Norstar B team to give them a boost.
