Belmont & Edgware skipper Warren Averbuch believes his team has what it takes to win the MSCL Division Three title.

With Alex Goodman, Jonathan Feigenbaum and vice-captain Jonny Evans leading the batting line-up, Averbuch will be assisted in the bowling department by the evergreen Neil Myeroff, brothers Jon and Ami Wynbourne and Gideon Restan.

Drug Free Powerlifting Federation’s British Championships in Glasgow.

Tough draw for Israel

Israel have been handed a tough draw away to Japan in their bid to return to the Davis Cup World Group.

They reached the promotion playoff after beating Portugal 3-1 in the Europe/Africa Zone Group tie at Ramat Hasharon.

Israel marched into an unassailable 3-0 lead after Dudi Sela, Amir Weintraub and doubles specialists Andy Ram and Jonathan Erlich won their matches.

Greenberg named head coach for USA Maccabiah basketball squad

Seth Greenberg has been named the Head Coach for the USA Open Men's Basketball Team competing at the 19th World Maccabiah Games in Israel.

Greenberg has just completed his ninth season as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Virginia Tech where the Hokies have made five consecutive and six total post-season appearances during his tenure.
