Saffer in to boost Brits ahead of Jom Ha Voetbal

Adam Lustigman has been handed a boost ahead of this week’s Jom Ha Voetbal competition in Amsterdam after Darren Saffer announced himself fit to join the squad.

The former Camden Park marksman joins the WHAFC squad in the 13-team tournament, although long-term injuries have restricted him to playing in goal.

London Maccabi Vale cruise to first league win of season

LMV produced an outstanding all-round display on Sunday to record their first league victory of the season.

Four wickets from Steven Allweis enabled the hosts to bowl out St John's Wood for just 175, and then led by Danny Caro's 92, LMV triumphed by seven wickets with almost five overs to spare.

Sela outclassed by Ferrer in first round at Wimbledon

Dudi Sela reflected on a bad day at the office after tumbling out against David Ferrer on the opening day of Wimbledon.

Having recently lost to the seeded Spaniard in Holland, the odds were stacked against the Israeli but he simply had no answer against his opponent who targeted Sela's weak forehand.

Sela beats world No. 30 at Nottingham Open

Dudi Sela stormed into the third round of the Nottingham Open after surprising world No. 30 Joao Sousa of Portugal.

Sela, 31, was in impressive form in the first set which he won 6-3 before holding his nerve to see out the match after a second-set tie-break in a match lasting one hour and 29 minutes.

Things started badly for GB on the pitch as Daniel Shafron’s team lost 4-1 to France side who are believed to have fielded their Maccabiah squad.
