Milch wins first International Challenger crown

Tony Milch insists the sight of seeing the International Challenger belt around his waist was well worth the wait.

The Bushey bruiser landed his first title with an 80-73 points win over Bulgarian Konstantin Aleksandrov.

The Peter Morrison Trophy will revert to its original format for season 2016/17, the National Maccabi Football Committee have confirmed.

There were mixed feelings about the decision to make the competition, nicknamed The Jewish FA Cup, national from the first round.

Zoe de Toledo led Team GB to victory in their heat of the Women’s 8 rowing at the Rio Olympics in Rio. The win takes them straight to the final, which takes place on Saturday.

GB trailed early on but they crossed the line in 6:09:52 after seeing off the challenge of New Zealand and Canada.

Two of Israel's judo team experienced disappointment on Day 2 of the Rio Olympics.

Gili Cohen was defeated by Christianne Legentil of Mauritius in the second round.

There had been high hopes on the shoulders of Golan Pollack but he was eliminated by Matthews Punza of Zambia in his opening match of hte under-66kg competition.
