Medal hat-trick for Israeli gymnasts

Israel's gymnasts continue to impress at the European Games in Baku after registering three more medals.

Having secured silver in the ribbons event earlier in the competition, Israel's team of Alona Koshevatskiy, Ida Mayrin, Yuval Filo, Ekatterina Levina and Karina Lykhvar claimed silver in the clubs and hoops plus bronze in the group ribbons final.

Kristall can take Oakwood to next level, says Blank

Kristall steered Leeds Maccabi to the MJSL treble this year and is now setting his sights on winning silverware in the MGBSFL in London.

Israel claim gymnastics silver

Israel's team of Alona Koshevatskiy, Ida Mayrin, Yuval Filo, Ekatterina Levina and Karina Lykhvar has won the silver medal in the ribbons event of the rhythmic gymnastics in Baku - the country's third medal in the European Games in Azerbaijan.

The Israelis scored 17,350 points, surpassed only by Russia with 18,000 points.

Woolf ready for EMG half marathon challenge

Richter reaches podium in Baku

Sergei Richter claimed Israel's second medal at the European Games in Baku after winning claimed bronze in the men's 10 meter air rifle competition.

Richter, 26, who finished ninth in the London Olympics, scored 628.7 points, which earned him Olympic qualification for Rio as well as a third place finish.

He said: "For me achieving the Olympic criteria was more important than the medal.

Blatt upbeat after NBA finals defeat

Silver lining for wrestler Kratysh

Wrestler Ilana Kratysh registered Israel's first medal at the inaugural European Games in Baku.

Kratysh, 24, claimed the silver medal in the women’s 69-kilogram freestyle wrestling competition.

She marked her return from a knee injury by beating Olympic champion Natalia Vorobeva of Russia in the semi-finals.
