Paris wins first Senior title

Josh Paris won his first senior title after claiming the Israel F7 Futures event.

Paris, who is 19 and lives in Highgate, teamed up with Ben Patael to win the Men’s Doubles crown at Kfar Maccabiah in Ramat Gan.

Competing in his first ITF doubles tournament, Paris and Patael beat the first, third and fourth seeded pairings on their way to victory.

World Cup woe for Rinast

Rachel Rinast continued her rapid rise up the football ladder in Switzerland’s match against Japan at the Fifa Women’s World Cup.

Rinast, who celebrated her 24th birthday last week, helped Maccabi Germany win gold in the Ladies Futsal competition at the European Maccabi Football Trophy in London 12 months ago.
