United bridge the gap with RJC victory

Goals from Saul Conway and Greg Corin lifted Hendon United A into second place in the JC MSFL Premier Division following a 2-1 win over Redbridge Jewish Care.

Jimmy Lester cancelled out Adam Hakimi's opener to earn London Maccabi Lions B a point at Chigwell Athletic A. Lewis Walker and Jamie Shaw struck as Glenthorne United A came from behind to beat Faithfold A.

Mike Pearson (2), Andy Myers, Tony Gold and Max Fieldgrass steered London Maccabi Lions A to a 5-1 win over Bafana Bafana.

Two apiece from Chaim Gothold and joint player-manager Martin Smulovitch took Hendon United B into second in Division One with a 4-0 victory at North London Raiders A.

Jonathan Hirshler (3), Lloyd Becker and James Sandler eased Division Two leaders Southgate Harmen A to a 5-1 success over Faithfold C.

Captain marvel Stefan Benfredj (3), David Lussman (2), Sacha Benfredj, James Mitman and Dan Oade helped Red Sea breeze past Rapid Banta 8-3.

Steve Bloom (2), Paul Andrews, Mike Hershman and Benji Dymant struck as North West Neasden C thumped Holy Mount Zion 5-0. Simon White (3) and Jeremy Teacher helped Southgate Harmen B surprise NL Raiders B 4-2.

Mitch Young, Dom Berko and Dave Wexler were the goal men as Division Three leaders FC Team B saw off AC Cricklewood 3-1.

Ben Russell and Yishai Last were on target as Hendon United C went joint-second with a 2-1 win over title rivals FC Team A. Jonny Lee (3), Josh Pater and Jonny Keller were on target as Catford & Bromley Maccabi beat Dynamo Hendon in a double-header.

Division Four favourites Woodford Wanderers had Elliott Gold to thank for the 2-1 win over UJS Norstar.
