Blue Marlin 3
FC Team 4

A last-ditch effort from James Korn gave FC Team a relegation lifeline as they came from behind to beat Blue Marlin in the Middlesex County League Division One.

Team included Richard Salmon in their squad with the marksman having 20 league goals for the club’s Sunday A team.

Blue Marlin went ahead in the early stages but a clinical finish from Mitch Lassman took Team into the break on level terms. FC Team went 3-1 down but the introduction of Salmon gave them renewed impetus and it was the substitute who set up Lassman for his and Team’s second. Kieran Curry-Allen made it 3-3 and with the visitors piling on the pressure, Korn, the youngest member of the squad, bundled home the winner.

FC Team player-manager Mitch Young said: “These boys are something else. They made me very proud.” They face Wilberforce Wanderers tomorrow.
