A-teams to meet in cup final
North West Neasden A and Hendon United A will meet in the JC Cyril Anekstein Cup final after coming through their respective semi-finals on Wednesday night.
Hendon overcame cup holders London Maccabi Lions A on penalties after twice coming from behind in normal time.
Although Lions had beaten Hendon in a league double-header on Sunday, it was the visitors who started the better.
Two well-taken strikes from Michael Pearson were cancelled out by Hendon supersub Saul Conway, with his second coming seconds before the final whistle.
With the light deteriorating, the tie went straight to penalties with Josh Bentley, Ari Last and Conway successfully converting for Hendon.
Keeper Danny Berliner saved a strike from Lions skipper Max Fieldgrass while Ollie Leslie fired over.
Neasden eased past Division One Hendon United B 5-0 to set up a repeat of the recent Peter Morrison Trophy final.
They played the majority of the second half with 10 men after Adam Klein was sent off for a professional foul.
Braces from TJ Keterman and Ben Forman plus one from Lee Bibring kept Neasden on course for the treble.
