Landesberg leads the Lions home
JC CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP ROUND TWO
BRIXTON OLD BOYS 0 LONDON MACCABI LIONS A 6
Having told me he isn't the messiah on Tuesday, interim-manager Andy Landesberg clearly is after the Lions hit Brixton for six in a match played at Rowley Lane.
Two goals from TJ Keterman, plus one apiece from Max Kyte, Shim Bensoor, Oli Craig and Dan Behar put the icing on the cake.
A delighted Landesberg told JC Sport: "It was a great response from a very committed group of players today, which included six teenagers. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The boys all responded to what I asked for and together put the Lions A team show back on the road.
"That game is over and it's now everybody's responsibility to again make themselves available for next Sunday and continue where we left off today."
Brixton boss John Nitka told JC Sport: "When you have a game against Lions, a strong team is required and I had Blackman, Kaye, Hershkorn, Fierstone, Weinberg, Weisz J, Greenham, Goldberg, Kenton and Posner all out due to either being injured or not available, so we did not stand much of a chance.
"Albeit we gave 100 per cent but just wasn't up to standard. When I have the majority of them back it will take a very good team to beat us!"
