JUNIOR COUNTY CUP ROUND THREE

TWENTE BOSON 1 OAKWOOD A 2

A late strike from Bobby Cousins booked Oakwood a place in round four of the Junior County Cup following a 2-1 victory over Twente Boson.

The Oaks forged ahead with an early well-taken goal from Brad Wine and looked set to win comfortably until Twente equalised with a free kick midway through the half.

Oakwood dominated the second half looking for a winner - hitting the post, the bar and missing countless other golden chances.

But, with two minutes to go, Cousins produced a piece of magic good enough to win the game, any other game, the charity shield - and even the grand national!

Collecting the ball on his chest from 25 yards he thumped it on the volley with his left peg into the top corner with dip and swerve. It was no less than he deserved for a MOTM performance.

Oaks player-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "Everyone went straight to the club shop and drained it of Cousins 10 merchandise. Well I did anyway!

"It was a good win overall and now we look forward to a huge cup game at Brady next week."
