Israel enjoyed a successful morning in the pool with two competitors booking their place in finals tonight.

SWIMMING
Inbal Ganapol Schwartz reached the final of the Women's 50m butterfly after coming home second in Heat 3 in a time of 38:28.

She qualifies as the third fastest over the heats.

Iad Yosef Shalabi was also runner-up in his heat of the Men's 50m Freestyle in a time of 1:07:52.

Itzhak Mamistvalov finished fourth in the following heat but he a finishing time of 1:08:73 was enough to earn a place in the final as the seventh fastest overall.

WHEELCHAIR TENNIS
Shraga Weinberg missed out on the bronze after going down in three sets against Nicholas Taylor of America in the playoff for third place on Court One at Eton Manor.

The Israeli started well, wrapping up the first set with an ace 6-1, but, in the battle of the left-handers, Taylor upped his game in the second set, breaking Weinberg in his first service game. Weinberg broke straight back, but so did Taylor who opened up a 3-1 lead before going on to win it 6-3.

Taylor raced into a 4-0 lead in the third and final set, but Weinberg showed great character to level at four games each. But a poor service game allowed Taylor to break again and this proof crucial as he went on to clinch the bronze with his first match point.

Weinberg told JC Sport: "I played well in the first set but then Taylor changed strategy and I made too many unforced errors. It was very difficult to find a way back but I tried my best."

ROAD CYCLING
Kobi Leon failed to add to his medal tally with after a disappointing performance in the Men's Individual H1 Road Race at Brands Hatch.

Pascal Bercovitch was also left to reflect on a poor performance as she failed to shine in the Women's Individual H4 Road Race.
