SUPERSUB SETYON LIFTS NEASDEN B
BLIZZARD STORM 1 NORTH WEST NEASDEN B 3
Two goals from supersub Elliot Setyon helped Louis Taylor's Neasden B make an excellent start against a Blizzard team that finished the match with 10 men.

Neasden opened the scoring only for Adam Speck to make it 1-1 from the penalty spot, but the visitors went on to score two further goals from Louis Taylor and Setyon again.

Blizzard's misery was completed in the dying minutes when Oli Simons was dismissed.

NWN player-manager Adam Levene told JC Sport: "It was a tough match. We improved in the second half and created more chances to deserve the win."

Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We dominated the first half, hitting the bar twice and also scoring a disallowed goal. We played some great football.

"The second half was a different story - we took our eye of the ball a bit and let Neasden back in. They took there chances, fair play.

"Next week is massive, we have to bounce back against Norstar."

TOP CAT COHEN SAVES BLANCOS
GLENTHORNE UNITED B 1 LOS BLANCOS 1
As predicted, Division Four champions Glenthorne B drew 1-1 with Los Blancos in what was described as a competitive game in Essex, with some good football on show from both teams on a lovely pitch at Fairlop.

The home side started the brightest, creating some good chances and having most of the possession in the first 15 minutes. After that Blancos had the better of the first half and they were rewarded. A goal kick from Josh Cohen sent player-manager Adam Hersh through on goal and a delicious chip over the on-rushing keeper gave Blancos a deserved 1-0 lead at the break.

The Thornes started brightly again in the second half and were soon awarded a penalty after a handball from a corner. The penalty just beat Cohen in the Blancos goal to level the game.

Glenthorne joint-manager Liam Stein told JC Sport: "All in all a good start to the season, but there is definite improvements to make in the coming weeks.

"Los Blancos are definitely a team that will take points off other teams in our division and it was vital not to lose the game. Saying that we probably should have taken all three points but it's something we know we need to work on."

Blancos boss Adam Hersh praised his defence. "We expect Cohen to make saves and stop penalties but Eddy Nathan performance was superb and he would have walked into any team this Sunday!

"Ultimately we are happy with a draw away to tough opposition and we look forward to the reverse fixture."

Ben Bell completed the scoring for the Baums.

Ricky Lawrence, with a penalty, and Daniel Pike netted for SPEC.

SPEC FC's Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "Unfortunately we didn't even begin to play until we were 5-0 down and on the day it just seemed like Bilbaum wanted it more.

"Jake Gilbert supplied 4 outstanding finishes and they were definitely worth of their win. It sounds like sour grapes but the ref turned down what was a stonewall penalty at 2-0 and who knows if that would have changed the game or not?"
