Season 2012/13 preview: London Maccabi Lions B

By Danny Caro, August 25, 2012

Jamie Kyte tells Danny Caro why newly-promoted Lions B and their red-hot striker can turn heads in Division One this season.

Competitions entered: Peter Morrison, Cyril Anekstein and MSFL First Division

Hopes for the season: To go on a good cup run in all competitions and push for promotion.

Biggest rivals: Harmen look real dangerous if they can sort out a keeper, I know they've got Adam Myers joining their backroom staff which is a fantastic addition. When he was 12 he won Champ Manager with Cardiff so he's always had a bright managerial future and it's only right that he turns his experience to the MSFL. Camden had a great season last year and I'm sure they'll be pushing for top spot, the signing of ex-Lions player Alex Springer took everyone by surprise.

New signings: This year are really bringing old names back to the club. This year we have David Kosky, David Rose, Argy, Ilan Ben Zion and Dan Green all coming back after a couple of years absence.

Is your squad complete or are you still looking to strengthen? We're still looking to get a back up keeper who's happy to sign and play when we're short, Jimmy Castle is looking to ply his trade elsewhere and we wish him the best of luck to wherever he goes.

Captain: - Undecided at the moment. We'll see who shows commitment

Ones to watch: Jonny Cutter, if he signs, he's stalling on contract talks but if we keep him at the club we know he can change a game. James Goals, Dan Green

Argy's got magic feet too and creates chances from nothing, the thought of him combining with a number of our midfielders is really exciting stuff. James Goals will no doubt be pushing for golden boot this season but with Dan Green in hot form on the back of our preseason friendlies he'll be giving him a run for his money.

Home ground: Rowley Lane - the home of Jewish football

Sponsors: Nike and Kyte

What will your team bring to the league this season? Respect to refs, Bowman's short shorts, Gold's blistering pace and hopefully goals galore
