American Michael Russell failed to build on a strong opening round victory over Adrian Menendez-MacEiras as he went down in straight sets against 29th seed Julien Benneteau of France.
Noah Rubin suffered a shock defeat in the first round of the Boys Singles. The 14th seed went down 6-4, 6-4 against Maximillian Marterer of Germany.
