Bor hails Fulda factor
David Bor believes the appointment of new boss Sydney Fulda has given Broughton’s players a new lease of life.
Fulda, who replaced Josh Bor at the helm last week, took charge of Broughton for the first time during Sunday’s agonising 2-1 defeat by South Manchester 2nd.
Two goals in the last 15 minutes gave South the points and condemned Broughton to an eight consecutive league defeat.
But club secretary Bor says Fulda’s arrival has given the club’s players an extra edge and says the team's prospects have improved markedly already.
“I think Sydney has given the boys a real mental boost and a lot of confidence,” said Bor.
“He has a lot of ideas on how to pass the ball and on communicating which is very important.
“The performances are getting better every week, although the boys were initially very disappointed not have got their first win.
“But they realise we're improving, which is encouraging, and Sydney’s arrival has certainly helped.”
Broughton face Crumpsall on Sunday with Fulda’s men hoping to claim their first win of the season and move off the bottom of the MJSL.
But Bor expects a difficult game against a Crumpsall side who have taken seven points from their past three games.
“Crumpsall have done very well recently and are possibly a bit ahead of us in terms of organisation,” he added.
“But we played very well against South and the players are confident they can compete with any team in the MJSL.”
