Israel ended a disappointing Euro 2012 qualifying on a high with victory in Malta.

A goal in each half from Lior Refaelov and Rami Gershon saw Luis Fernandez finish third in Group F.

Refaelov opened the scoring after 11 minutes with a sweet half volley following good work from Taleb Twatha.

With Bebras Natcho dominant in midfield, in came as no surprise when Gershon sealing the win in stoppage time.

Greece finished top of the group with Croatia qualifying for the playoffs after coming runners-up.
