Israel well beaten at ICC Euro U19

Israel made a disappointing start at the ICC European Under 19 Division 2 Tournament in the Isle of Man.

They went down by 130 runs against a France team who were dismissed for 185 in 46 overs.

Coached by national team captain Herschel Gutman, Israel conceded 49 runs in extra in an innings where wickets were shared around, with three bowlers taking two apiece

Israel struggled in reply, with just one of their batsmen reaching double figures as they were bowled out for 55 in 19.1 overs.

Zika Ali bowled superbly for France, taking four wickets for just five runs, whilst Rory Gribbell took 3-22.

Elsewhere in the group, Denmark beat Belgium by 168 runs.
