Night Cricket resumed in Israel last week after a mid-season break. All the teams in the second division are chasing League leaders Pearl Wanderers Cricket Club, with the Gold Insurance Bet Shemesh Lightning team producing an excellent performance by beating Modi'in EasyIsrael by 8 runs.

The GIBSL team batted first and scored 114 runs and then reduced the MEI team to 106 in a match that went down to the last over.

Pommeranz Juice Good Old Boys cemented their second place position with a 10-run win over a much improved KAT ISRAEMPLOY Tigers team. PJGOB scored 76 with KIT scoring 66.

In the only 1st Division match not be affected with rain, the Modi'in Lions team scored a massive 73 run win over the CS 8 Ra’anana team. Asked to bat first, the CS 8 team were soon in trouble and could not adjust to the tight bowling and good fielding of the Modi'in Lions scoring 65

The Modi'in team with Israel national team players, Eshkol Solomon and Shailesh Bangera sharing in a partnership of 50, made light work of reaching their target and ended up scoring 138 runs ensuring that they are right on the heels of league leaders Telalivit whose game against Sri Lanka Jerusalem was called off due to the rain.

This week sees League 1 leaders Telalivit coming up against in the early match on Saturday evening with Pearl Wanderers Cricket Club, who are leading League 2, come up against the KAT ISRAEMPLOY Warriors playing the 7:45pm match.

Pommeranz Juice Good Old Boys come up against the Modi'in EasyIsrael team in what should be a very tight contest.
