London Lions have been rewarded for an emphatic victory over Baldock with a home Herts FA Centenary Trophy quarter-final clash against South Midlands Division One leaders Kings Langley

Goals from TJ Keterman, Daniel Stanton, Aron Barnes and a double from Adam Stolerman put the disappointment of last week's defeat at Dunstable firmly behind them. The Lions were back to their best, producing an excellent first half of football that their visitors just could not deal with.

Stolerman opened the scoring after 20 minutes following a good move involving Guy Morris, Tony Gold and Aron Barnes, allowing last season's top-scorer to smash an unstoppable shot effort.

Aron Barnes doubled the lead, stabbing home a cross from Matt Stock.

Keterman added a third with a fabulous finish from 18 yards, drilling the ball low and hard in off the post.

It was soon 4-0 as Stanton as another Stock delivery was tucked home just before half time.

Stolerman completed the scoring from the penalty spot on 65 minutes after Adam Myeroff had been scythed down.

Lions manager Tony Gold said: "I was looking for a response and the lads delivered. The whole feel of last week was wrong and one thing this squad needs to realise is that no one individual player is bigger than the team.

"Our success in recent years has been built on teamwork and everyone doing their bit and doing it to the best of their abilities, and that is something myself and coach Steve Grenfell will never lose sight of."
