David Garbacz praised his team for the perfect performance as treble-chasing Hendon put defending league champions Faithfold to the sword with a dominant performance at Chase Lodge.

Two goals from star man Ari Last inspired the Hammers, who remain in contention for the MGBSFL title and have already reached the final of the Cyril Anekstein Cup.

Mordi Weiler sealed the win for a Hendon team who will play outsiders FC Team B in the last four on April 6.

"This was a totally dominant display from beginning to the end - our keeper hardly had a save to make all match and we were superb all over the pitch," Garbacz told JC Sport.

"In his first game as new official club captain, Ari last was magnificent and capped a brilliant display with two crucial goals, ably supported by Yoav Lebens and Rafi Kon our midfield did not give them a kick and all over the pitch we were very solid.

"We have had some close encounters with Faithfold in recent seasons and as always they showed fight and grit, but I'm sure they would admit they were outplayed today.

"We are growing in confidence week by week - there is still an awful lot of work to be done but we are beginning to smell the polish on those trophies and we have some very exciting weeks ahead."

Dejected Faithfold boss Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "We have to be gutted as the season is all over trophy-wise. We just didn't turn up today and I'm not going to make any excuses. Hendon played well and deserved the win."
