Super Shiffman keeps Haroldeans dreaming

MJSL JOAN COLLINS PREMIER DIVISION
HAROLDEANS 3 OAKHILL LIONS 2

Adam Shiffman’s hat-trick kept Haroldeans’ faint title hopes alive.

The Merseysiders need to win all their remaining games and hope runaway leaders Maccabi Manchester 2nds slip up.

But Shiffman’s treble kept Haroldeans in the hunt and boss Fraser Saville praised his prolific striker.

He said: "Adam is a very composed finisher who knows his way to goal.

"He will play a big part for us between now and the end of the season.

"It's going to be a tall order for us to win the league be have to keep believing and going."

Shiffman’s stuck twice early on before the ever-improving Oakhill Lions hit back via Ben Mandell and Saul Hoyland at the break.

But Shiffman took home the matchball after the students lost for the first time in 2014.
