Maccabi Manchester 2nds took another giant step towards the MJSL title on their return to action.

The league leaders, who resumed are a fou-week break, looked like they had never been away in a one-sided display to down Flixton.

Jack Myers (2) and Sam Modlin struck as Irving Modlin’s men closed in on the championship.

Given their superior goal difference, nine points will be enough to wrap up the league for the unbeaten side.

But boss Modling is not just content by winning the league and is eyeing a hat-trick of trophies this season.

He said: "We haven't played for a while but we were soon back into the groove here.

"We should have won by more goals, but at this stage of the season it is all about the points.

"It looks like the league is pretty much ours now and we want to wrap that up before long.

"The aim is to go through the season undefeated and win the treble. I do believe this is very much possible."
