With lots of games off, the judges were tickled by Sam Rosenthal words following the win over Camden, which probably summed up how many were feeling as Redbridge Jewish Care A boosted their title hopes with a 3-0 success.

Traditionally a man of few words post-match, Rosenthal told JC Sport: "The hot chocolate at half time helped and I'm not sure Camden really fancied a cold January day out in Essex"

BEST OF THE REST

- Jacob Kadoch (King Crown) - "It was a very harsh lesson in what happens when you don't finish your dinner" - speaking after the 3-3 draw against Temple Fortune

- David Garbacz (Hendon A) - "I was just praying it wouldn't go into extra-time as I think my toes would have frozen off" - following the evening kick-off in the Morrison against Harmen

- Tony Charles (Woodford) - "It was a poor performance from Woodford today, and possibly the last for some players" - after his team bowed out of the National Cup in extra-time
