Adam Shiffman continued his rich vein of form after netting back-to-back hat-tricks to keep Haroldeans in the title hunt.

Shiffman’s latest treble along with a Matt Allis strike moved the Liverpool-based side to within six points off leaders Maccabi Manchester 2nds.

But with the two rivals meeting next month, Haroldeans could still have a say in the run-in.

Haroldeans boss Fraser Saville said: "We are keeping the pressure up on the leaders and that’s all we can do.

"Maccabi Manchester 2nds will have to drop a few points along the way if we were to sneak above them.

"But we have been on their coat-tails for a while and we will keep pressing. They will know they cannot afford to slip up - but we have to make the most of it if they do."
