Harmen couldn't be happier, says Castle

Sam Castle says Southgate Harmen will not get carried away after they maintained their title challenge with an impressive 4-1 win over SPEC FC.

After a terrible team performance last time out, the Harmen boys were out to prove a point to themselves and the rest of the league. And that's exactly what they did.

Harmen were in charge of the game from the first minute to the last. They took the lead after 20 minutes when Sam Castle played through an inch-perfect pass into the path of Alex Bowman who slotted the ball superbly pass the SPEC keeper.

However just before the break, and completely against the run of play, SPEC got a goal that bought then back into the game through Ricky Lawrence.

At half-time some strong words from Joel Alterman and Ben Adaki got the Harmen boys back up for the game and this showed in the second half.

After wasting a few good opportunities and a couple unbelievable strikes from Ben Weinberg that came of the bar, Harmen went 2-1 up. Ben Weinberg went past four players before chipping the call to Sam Castle who half volleyed the ball into the top right corner from 25 yards.

From then-on-in there was only going to be one winner. Man-of-the-match Lee Greenfield then went on to score two goals in the final 15 minutes. His first was a simple tap-in after some great wing play from Ricky Rinder. The second was a great left foot strike from 12 yards out.

Harmen co-player-manager Sam Castle told JC Sport: "It was a great team performance with every player 1-14 putting in a great shift. We bossed the game from 0-90 and I couldn't be happier.

"We will not get carried away. Next week is Brady at home - a game that everyone is looking forward to, with more than just three points on the line. Family rivalry and bragging rights are also up for grabs. The cameras have to be there!"

SPEC FC's consolation came through Ricky Lawrence, who told JC Sport: "Thank god Rob Murray is getting married next Sunday. Anything to stop this run of defeats!"
