MS Bambi destroy England FC

November 19, 2013

England FC's sorry season continued as they were ultimately well beaten by table-toppers MS Bambi.

The game started with goal-scoring opportunities for both teams. There were a few heated moments, but the ref was doing very well to control the game and keep things competitive.

Bambi took the lead through an Ori Cabir through ball found Aviv Zemer who scored from inside the area.

High-flying Bambi kept pressing and another peach of a pass from Cabir allow Aviv Halperin to double the lead. And it was 3-0 within a matter of minutes, as this time scorer turned provider as Halperin found Bar Blumberg who turned around inside the box and rifled his shot into the net.

Both teams then had good opportunities to score, but Bambi consolidated their three-goal advantage at the break.

England FC came out with renewed impetus in the second half and Adam Jaffe, last season's top-scorer, showed his worth, scoring a quick brace and had it not been for a top-class save from goalkeeper Eyal Younger, England would have levelled the game.

But it was not to be England’s day as Zemer converted a delicious free-kick from 20 yards and minutes later played a killer ball to Halperin ended any hopes of an England comeback by making the score 5-2.

And Bambi still were not done for the day as Yoni Caduri played a defence-splitting pass to Ido Sacajiu who finished with ease.

Bambi manager Yoni Sarig said: "It was a very fast and aggressive game, filled with opportunities. It wasn’t too difficult for us to beat England, but to win by a four-goal margin was hard work.

"I'm very happy to maintain our position in the table. Next week we face a Modiin side in top form in what promises to be a great game."
