It was a good weekend for London Maccabi Lions, with their sides coming out victorious in eight of their 11 matches.

The biggest winners were the under-13 Blue side who crushed Oakhill Tigers 11-0. Scott Leigh, Sam Morgan and Joey Bleetman all scored for the Blues, but it was the performances of George Bier and Gabe Yawitch that stood out the most, with both players netting four times each.

Both the under-10 sides were big winners too. The LM Lions Whites fired six past London Colney in a 6-2 win. Dylan Philips became the third Lions player to find the net four times, with Oliver Kaye also helping himself to a brace. The Blue team went one better, hammering Codicote Youth 7-0. Jesse Cooper struck five times in a fantastic performance, with Joel Lipman and Richie Abramson also on the scoresheet.

Louie Greenham, Jay Kaposi and Dylan Kaye were on target for the under-16 White team as they recorded a 3-0 win over Harvesters North.

There were also victories for both under-15 sides. Freddy Kramer and Isaac Zamet helped the Whites to a 2-0 win, while a couple of Brandon Wolmark efforts, together with a Matthew Pinhass goal saw the Blues home in a 3-1 win over Olympiacos Red.

The under-14 Whites ran out winners by the same scoreline with Nathan Davis, Jack Mattey and Aiden Raphael efforts guiding the team to victory over Belstone.

The final winning Lions team were the under-11 Blues, with a solitary Josh Samson goal enough to see them victorious against Cassiobury Rangers.

Goals from James Barnett, Brandon Sassoon and Oron Sheldon were not enough to prevent the under-18 Whites from going down to a 6-3 loss against Croxley Guild, while the under-12 Blues went down 4-1 against Whetstone Cougars, with Adam Cahn’s goal no more than a consolation.

The under-11 Green team also found themselves edged out, being narrowly defeated by Harvesters East 5-3. Abie Berg, Noah Bezalel and Samuel Wolfson goals were not enough to prevent the loss.
