Maccabi Masters review: February 10

By Jeremy Silverstone, February 10, 2013

North London Raiders kept themselves in the title hunt with a 3‐1 win over Waldaf Town.

Goals from Gary Cohen (2) and Rob Cohen steered Raiders home in this Maccabi Masters League Division One contest. Richard Davis responded for Waldaf.

And in Division 2, after knocking Lions out of the Cup last week, St John’s Wood Tigers leapfrogged them into third place this week with a 4-2 win over Brady B. David Hyman, Perry Somers, Gary Starr and Paul Herszaft scored for Tigers, with Malcolm Hershman (pen) and Gary Field replying for Brady.

Meanwhile, a James Ryan goal was enough to secure the point for Temple Fortune in their 1‐0 victory over Ashlodge.

Fortune manager David Goldberg said: "It was another solid performance. We deserved to win but the skill factor was on a par with a Stoke v Sunderland fixture!"
