Jon Feld believes Israel can build on their recent series against London Pumas at the European Sevens Championships in Croatia.

The travelling Pumas team came away with a credible 2-2 draw against Israel’s national rugby team and Development XV at Park Hayarkon in Tel Aviv.

The three younger members of the Hurley family each won medals and set personal bests at the Hertfordshire Championships in Watford.

Jessica Hurley’s victory in the under-17 400m, in 59.29, saw her climb to ninth in the UK U17 rankings.

Rebecca won silver in the U20 400m hurdles in 71.64, while Greg took bronze in the U15 300m in 41.39.


England FC win Olim Cup

Terry Newman described England FC's cup final success over Inter Tel Aviv as a "remarkable achievement" after they rounded off a superb second half of the season with a commanding victory.

The win saw England add another trophy to their cabinet after returning the Pesach Cup to Israel.

Blatt takes Cleveland into NBA final

David Blatt steered Cleveland Cavaliers into the NBA final after a 4-0 whitewash in the seven-game Eastern Conference final series over the Atlanta Hawks.

The Cavaliers will play the Golden State Warriors or the Houston Rockets in the seven-game series final, which begins on June 4.


National jubilation for Edmondstown Ladies

Edmondstown lifted the Team Gross Cup on their way to a seven-trophy haul at the 19th Ladies National Tournament in Ireland.

The Dublin club collected the major prize for the first time, while Carole Shatter claimed the Singles Nett.

The host team also won the Pairs Gross thanks to superb displays from Mary de Courcy and Jane Callanan.

Jacobson’s free-kick looked to have sent the Chairboys up, before Southend struck deep into extra-time to level the scores at 1-1 and send the tie to penalties.
