We're on the March

We are now at the business end of the season and the various championships are starting to emerge.
Can I first congratulate Temple Fortune on winning the Second division and also Brixton Old Boys on also attaining promotion as runners-up.
The remaining divisions are still to be decided although the Premier Division title may be known after the weekend.
I would also like to congratulate Hendon United Sports A and Redbridge Jewish Care A for their JCCyril Anekstein Cup Final appearance.
Also, congratulations to Faithfold A on their appearance in the final of the Peter Morrison Cup.
The league representative team were beaten by the Cypriot league the other week but since it was Danny Berg's first year in charge he did well under extremely difficult circumstances when players let him down at the last moment.
There have now been a few enquiries for next season and I really hope that the numbers will swell again. It would be nice to get back to the all time high of 65 teams but this could well take years to achieve.
As you may well have read, the Jewish Chronicle will not be renewing their sponsorship and I would like to place on record our grateful thanks for the many years of financial and other support that they have given to us.
We are trying to find a new sponsor but I suspect that if we can't we will need to re-jig our finances to ensure the league remains financially stable in the future.
I hope that you continue to enjoy the remaining weeks of the season.
Wishing you all well.
