Northern Football round-up: December 4
Adam Boyars led the way as Haroldeans hit back from the hurt of last weekend’s defeat by smashing six past South Manchester 2nd.
After losing their unbeaten league record last Sunday, the Merseysiders were in no mood to suffer a similar fate and dispatched South with a six-goal salvo.
Boyars scored twice, while Bradley Alis, Ali Goldsmith, Josh Roberts and Rob Karp were also on target for the league leaders.
Second-placed Oakhill remain six points adrift following an impressive 3-1 win over Republic of Mancunia 1st.
Saul Shapiro marked his debut with a stunning effort, while Marc Woolfe and Marc Maynard both got in on the act. Paul Basger scored for Republic.
Hyde Park crushed Crumpsall 6-2 to move up to third in the MJSL league table.
David Herman, Paul Clayton, Ben Roback, Oli Grant, Jay Rosenthal were all on the scoresheet with an own-goal completing the rout.
Yossi Berland’s strike and another own-goal gave Crumpsall something to smile about.
Leeds Maccabi 3rd finally broke their MJSL duck by defeating fellow strugglers Broughton 6-4.
Dan Davidson scored a hat-trick, with Rafi Kaye grabbing a brace and Josh Isaac also hitting the target.
Max Seitler and Osher Landes both scored twice for Broughton, who have now lost all 12 of their league games this season.
Gavin Sharpe finally had reason to smile as Sporting clinched a rare victory following a 4-1 win over Republic of Mancunia 2nd.
Adam Herman, Moishe Hasid, Aaron Englander and Alex Woolf scored the goals for Sporting with Andrew Shaffer netting from the penalty spot for Republic.
