Harold Feldman Trophy round-up: November 20
Oakhill continued their quest for an unprecedented third successive Harold Feldman Trophy after crushing Leeds Maccabi 3rd 7-1.
The Lions, who have now won five games on the spin, booked their place in the semi-finals with a rampant second-half display.
Rob Selwyn scored a hat-trick, with Benji Las, Josh Daniels, Marc Woolfe and Harry Roache also on target.
Haroldeans saw off Republic of Mancunia 1st in a five-goal thriller to progress to the next round.
The Merseysiders took a three-goal lead inside the first 45 minutes thanks to goals from Adam Boyars, Bobby Abrams and Bobby Fishel.
Republic rallied at the death, scoring twice in the last four minutes through Dave Eden’s brace, but it was too little, too late, for Les Blackston's side.
Republic of Mancunia 2nd cruised into the last four following a comprehensive 4-0 win over Crumpsall.
Gary Freeman, Blake Englander, Andrew Shaffer and Gabriel Silva got the goals for Republic 2nd.
Elsewhere, Manchester Maccabi 3rd defeated South Manchester 2nd 4-2 in a real thriller at Hough End.
Jack Lee’s penalty and a Dan Linton strike put South firmly in control after a goalless first-half.
But Maccabi roared back when Sam Calmonson headed home with eight minutes remaining to halve the deficit.
Rafi Leeker missed a golden opportunity to equalise from the penalty spot before Max Lee scrambled home at the death to take the game into extra-time.
Jake Kelly’s stupendous overhead kick and Calmonson’s second of the game settled the tie as Maccabi completed a dramatic comeback.
